WHAT IS THE REVOLUTION BOOTH?

The natural evolution of the classic Photo Booth, the REVOLUTION BOOTH was designed to make three-dimensional interactive digital images that can be easily and instantly shared.  It is portable, interactive, and allows immediate uploading to social media.

CHALLENGE

To create a modern-day photo booth experience.

SOLUTION

Thirteen cameras positioned to capture a 180-degree interactive view of the user - producing an interactive photographic experience that can be immediately shared and integrated with others via smartphone and social media.

MY ROLE

As the Project Director, I was involved beginning in the concept development phase, through the delivery of a physical prototype that was user-tested, refined and ultimately debuted at a fashion event in NYC.  Throughout this process, I continuously balanced the needs and wants of my primary user with those of the end user.  Always keeping in mind the timeline constraints, budget concerns, and functional execution during iterations.

KEY TAKEAWAY

The most valuable insight I gained during the fabrication of the first Revolution Booth prototype, was my ability to deliver on the true process of an interactive user experience by taking an artist’s abstract, creative vision and realizing it as a pioneered, marketable product.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Contributed to the concept development of a modernized and marketable photo-booth experience

• Directed the fabrication phase of the physical prototype by managing and coordinating the work of graphic & media designers, a technical photo/film team, and app developers

• Orchestrated the stages for development of all interactive elements, as well as the physical production of the working prototype

• Maintained and managed usability testing and results

• Refined resulting iterations

• Delivered a state-of-the-art marketable product

                                                 DESIGN

The simple, elegant enclosure is inviting and creates a unique modern setting for image capture. Reminiscent of a contemporary art sculpture, the booth adds an element of beauty to any environment. Made of durable plastic and vinyl, the booth is resistant to the elements and easy to maintain.  With a large free standing surface visible from any angle, the exterior and interior surfaces of the booth can easily be branded, as can the digital images that are output.

                                                INTERFACE

The REVOLUTION BOOTH is operated via a touch screen computer. Our proprietary software controls all aspects of the user experience, image capture, processing, and digital delivery.  We offer enterprise level image hosting to archive users memories within a branded site, allowing the opportunity for data capture and ongoing engagement.

                                         REVOLUTION BOOTH FLOW

Once the images are captured a branded and animated email is generated and sent to the email address submitted. This email allows the user to share with Facebook, Twitter, and Google plus with one click. The post generated is interactive allowing the audience to engage in a new way.

                                                  SIGNAGE

The REVOLUTION BOOTH is a focal point in any environment. With a large free standing surface visible from any angle, the exterior and interior surfaces of the booth can be wrapped with graphics to coincide with any campaign, media event, or sponsor. The interior can be configured with an led screen to create background environments.

                                                   IN-STORE

A branded attraction, the REVOLUTION BOOTH creates unique opportunities for consumer / salesperson interaction as well as long term consumer / brand interaction. The booth offers additional wall space for showcasing products or advertisement. The REVOLUTION BOOTH exterior and software can be configured to suit any retail environment or to coincide with advertising campaigns.

                                                  EVENTS

The REVOLUTION BOOTH is a new way to allow guests to interact with your brand while capturing their image and email address in a fun and safe way. All guests actively participate in creating a lasting memory they can enjoy and share with friends and family via social media channels. The data collected can be used for continued contact with all participants or a select demographic.

Arrived at with skillful team collaboration and securing historical venue - by maintaining harmony in the supervising of staff & crew whilst balancing the manufacturing and fabrication of all artistic elements and technical requirements.

MY ROLE

KEY TAKEAWAY

The most valuable insight I gained from this project, was my strong ability to realize an abstract creative vision -- translating an artist’s portfolio of work spanning four years and showcasing a revolutionary new art form -- into a live, visual symphony experience.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Direct point of contact with Accounting department; provided necessary budgetary status and updates, submitted and monitored invoicing and payments, supervised all AR & AP

• Managed the manufacturing and fabrication of all artistic elements: prints, sculptures, interactive elements and film

• Oversaw and procured all technical requirements; 40 x 60ft screen, 4K projector, multi-faceted floor-plan

DELIVERED

Derived by hours of research, countless options, and a myriad of conceptual discourse and immense debate, a venue was chosen. The location confirmed to debut "Revolution" was the 69th Regiment Army, one of the most iconic buildings standing in mid-town NYC, signifying honor and strength of the highest order. Housed within the 170,000+ Sq. Ft. space, Sebring built an experience on the foundational fortitude of this borrowed platform to debut his current artistic endeavors to the public.

Sebring’s craft unveiled at “Revolution” redefines conventional art, artistic value, and artistic experience.  Most notably, the success received by “Revolution” also brought forth gratitude and humility from each visitor.  Sebring’s conscious effort to pay humble tribute to the Regiment is evident in the parallels of the artistic approach grounding principle of “Revolution" - its design honored the past, evoked curiosity and learning, to bring forth a new knowledge, understanding and awareness, serving to strengthen the future of artistic development.

360 degrees - published as a
tangible 2032 page book and
as an interactive book app.

CHALLENGE

To produce a collection of images - various model poses - that are simple and beautiful to be used as a fashion resource.

SOLUTION

Photographed 1,000 poses, from 100 angles - from each pose, the still image from Camera #1 was used to comprise the 2032 page book - and each 360 degree revolution was published as an interactive book-app experience.

MY ROLE

As the Project Director, I balanced the needs and wants of my primary user with those of the end user.  Always keeping in mind the timeline constraints, budget concerns, and functional execution during iterations.

KEY TAKEAWAY

The most valuable insight I gained from this experience, was how to successfully speak to publishers on behalf of an artistic vision that would deliver as a tangible 2,032 page book, and as an interactive book app.

Woman in Motion is the ultimate merging of art, technology and fashion by two industry icons. In what looks like manipulated film yet is, in fact, sequenced photos, model Karlie Kloss is captured from every perspective, using 100 surrounding cameras inside a geo dome.

“Donna Karan is the first luxury brand that has embraced what I consider a revolution of light and motion in an all media interactive campaign,” says Sebring, who has been working on this breakthrough technique for five years. “It’s pure, a collision of film and stills. I’m using technology to make art, to take it to the next level. This is where technology is going. It’s theater, art, everything."

In commemoration of Donna Karan New York’s 30th Anniversary, a series of Woman In Motion windows and in-store installations– featuring the film as well as blow ups of the stills - will be exhibited in an estimated 30 stores around the world. The premiere installation will launch in late July at Bergdorf Goodman’s in New York City, which was the first store in the world to launch the brand in 1984. Donna Karan New York stores in NYC, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Seoul, and London will all have installations, along with in-store boutiques at Saks, Neiman Marcus and Holt Renfrew.

CHALLENGE

How to transform a generic on-camera music artist interview, into an exciting and innovative experience that engages both the audience and the artist.

MY ROLE

Creator of concept, design, production and execution.  Within each phase of development, I have held roles throughout the process ranging from the design of the logo, procurring artist interviews - to camera operation and video editing.
